School and Business Donations

For schools and businesses having a large number of donations, CFC may provide free pick-up services at your facility.

Ozzie Serrano is our Director of Transportation. He can be reached by emailing Ozzie or by calling his cell phone at (530)566-6480. If you do not have sufficient donations to fill the truck, Ozzie will try to combine your donation with others in the same area.

We often travel to the Bay Area, Redding, Sacramento or other areas in northern California. We have made pick-ups and deliveries through California depending upon the quantity and quality of the donations. We have a 26 foot box van with a lift-gate so we can service facilities without loading docks. Our men can palletize and shrink wrap donations prior to transporting them. We do not charge for this service.

We take all and do not pick and choose. If we just picked the good items out you would be left with the dregs and wouldn't call us back. We have expanded our operations over the past 19 years by helping donors so that we are called again when more donations are ready to be picked up.

We can provide an asset-tracking inventory and charitable donation receipt. After years of making the entire donation process easier, CFC has donors that have been contributing regularly and referring us to others. We are experienced, professional and try to make your job easier.

All hard drives are wiped to United States Department of Defense standards. Even if the donor states they have been wiped, we do it again for our satisfaction. We even wipe the hard drives from laser printers. Any drive that does not wipe completely is sent through our DeGausser. The DeGausser sends out a high burst of magnetic energy that penetrates the drives and erases all data from the disks. Unfortunately, it destroys the drive so that it cannot be reused.

Some hospitals stop by so that we can DeGauss any drives that need to go to the manufacturer while they are under warranty. The medical privacy regulations require that the data be protected. DeGaussing provides that protection.

CFC will do it right. The school donations can be refurbished to make them available for low-income families. By reusing technology we can all greatly help the environment and provide low-cost computers to those that can't afford to buy new.
